Trigger Server DOWN again...

Yeah ... For me too.

As a data center admin responsible for 50+ servers, I have the ability to send out email alerts, when a server is not responding, using a variety of port based response or GET/POST requests. If any mod/admin is interested in getting an automated email when the service dies, please contact me, I'm happy to set this up for you. Query location would be from Chicago, IL, USA. But ideally if other sysadmins could do the same, you would want several monitors from different locations.

I have reported this incident
I am a moderator but (to my knowledge) macrodroid (and its entire ecosystem) is supported solely by Jamie so no one can go in to repair while Jamie is away, but it sounds interesting that Jamie read this thread

I have a macro that sends email alerts, so I doubt multiple are needed. Why does it always have to break when we sleep...

I believe I have fixed the problem that caused the latest two outages.

I have setup a monitor, but this one hit just as I fell asleep. I am currently working on an automated way to try and restart my server in an automated way as soon as the monitor fires. Failing that I'm going to have the monitor make a loud noise to wake me up so I can manually restart the server should it go down.

I think my latest fix to the server has solved the immediate stability issue. I also have an automated recovery solution in place that should hopefully prevent any long term outages (maximum of about 5 minutes should be worst case).

Of course if you do see problems in the future, please shout at me as soon as you see it via support@macrodroid.com
