How to reset Macrodroid to factory settings & erase everything?

I can't seem to find how to do this in the wiki, and I already uninstalled and re-downloaded macrodroid and all of my macros were already back. I didn't sign back in and deleted all cloud backups too - only physical backups were left and I'm not sure, but I thought I didn't leave them in the default folder

How can I wipe EVERYTHING in macrodroid and go back to a blank slate?

I have never had that happen...and I have local and cloud backups.

If I uninstall MD, then re-install MD, there are no macros. I have to do a restore to get back the macros.

Maybe you were logged in automatically but I do'it think that's a feature.

If I click to export a macro, that should only export one macro right? The only thing I did was import a single macro before I looked at anything else and after that I had a bunch of them. But I noticed that it wasn't up to date, it was just some of the macros.

Does the same thing happen if you go to settings > applications > macrodroid and delete the data?

Yes

The only thing I did was import a single macro

Did you check that there were no macros after the install?
before I looked at anything else and after that I had a bunch of them

Are you sure you imported 1 macro or perhaps 1 category?
. But I noticed that it wasn't up to date, it was just some of the macros.
I think it would be worth uninstalling MD and re-installing MD. Then check that there is/are macro(s) or no macros BEFORE using MD.

Let us know what you find.

I can confirm that clearing the application data as described above is the correct way to "Factory Restore" MacroDroid to a virgin state. I'm not sure of the details but I have one test device (of many) that seems to restore old macros from some previous timestamp when I clean install the app. This might be some setting linked to the phone/google account being used but I've never really understood why this happens and never really spent time thinking about it in any depth to be honest.
