that runs with an api for which a key is required should I leave it there or delete it because normally something like that shouldn't be shared

I am totally sure that the developer is only interested in fixing the bug (in case it really is).

I have zero interest in any API key for anything you may have, but If you are worried about leaking some key then please clone your macro, delete the key and report the bug in the cloned macro.
