Wear OS NFC

I have been looking for an app for wear os that an scan NFC tags to trigger automations. Does this app let you scan the NFC tags on the Watch. I have the new Galaxy Watch 5. If not does anyone know a different app that can do it on the Watch.

The Wear OS companion app does not support scanning NFC tags I'm afraid. I don't know of any other apps but I'm not really a Wear OS user myself so I'm no expert in terms of apps.

I really wanted this solution as well, If the SDKs are the same for NFC on android and on wear os then would it be possible to have support for NFC on companion app? my phone doesnt have NFC but my galaxy watch supports it and I wanted to trigger automations using with it..

It seems that NFC in Wear OS can only be used for payment and cannot be used as an NFC tag reader at this time.
