Usb Device Id

Hi all!

Earlier I made a test macro (unfortunately I can't find it now), where you could save the USB device ID in a variable with a magic text. Now this magic text is no longer there, although it would be very nice.
This was good because I made a sync with Foldersync, which was handled by Macrodroid.
So when I connected this USB device, it automatically started the sync. The USB ID took care that when I connected another USB device, no sync would happen.
USB Manufacture name and Product name is not a useful information because I have devices with the same brand and name.
Is it really no longer included or am I just not finding it?

How about model number?

System log should help you find the macro.
I don't know what other information can be extracted from the connected device, but it is important to be able to distinguish between devices with the same brand and name.
I can't find the macro, it may have been on another phone, or it may have been deleted. I made it at the time the USB device ID appeared in the magic text.

I tried to display it with Termux, but there is no item called device ID.
It may not be practical to display with Termux-usb because it is time consuming.

Thanks for trying!
But you have serialnummer or Produkt Id, Vendor Id. I think they are different per device.
Serialnummer would be the right one, because it's certainly different on each device and I remember it was previously included in the Macrodroid magic text.

What version do you think it was in (approximately) ? I don't remember of any magic text like that.

If I remember correctly, it was called Usb device Id, but I don't know which version it was from.
The magic texts Produkt Name and Manufaktur Name are useless to me.

I apologise to everyone, but I was wrong. :(
I looked back and the Device Manufacturer and Device Model are from version 4.9.0.
I couldn't find any magic text that says Usb Device Id. I thought something wrong.
I don't know how I made the macro then.
But it would be nice if it would be possible to request such an id for the magic text.
I'm sorry for misleading everyone.

I found it in the meantime.
The Autotools plugin could read the serial number of the USB device.
I would like Macrodroid to be able to do this and not have to use Tasker Plugin.
Is this possible? Should I write to Jamie?

AutoTools Connectivity > USB > Check USB Devices
I think so, but I can't get it due to an error.
Even with Termux-usb, I couldn't get it without giving permission, so I feel that even if this function is implemented, it will only be very difficult to use.

This should be very easy to add a bit of magic text for that so I will try and sneak it into the next beta.
Unfortunately, in the latest v5.36.8 version, the Usb device Id is the same for all drives of the same brand.
Sorry, I may have entered it incorrectly earlier, but I would actually need the SerialNumber to distinguish between the drives, as it is different for each device.

If I click on the preview to view the image of the previous post I get this error:

It's the first time this happens to me in this forum

@Qarboz, Dimlos and Snurre
This is normal.
@Mcrazy made this post in another thread, attached the image but deleted the post after copying their post first - and the whole attachment section too. You are trying to view an image from a deleted post so you do not have the permissions to.
I have edited the post to fix that.
