Trigger "phone picked up"

Hi

is there a trigger (or could that be implemented) for "phone picked up" ?

Samsung devices has a native feature: when having missed a SMS or phone call the phone vibrate when picked up. But if you use a non native phone app or SSM app this dont work. This can be circumvented via MD if there is a trigger for "phone picked up"

I have tried the ones o could find: flip side up down - but thats not a solution

Thanks

Thanks,

no this is about something else. "the phone picked up" is a trigger about the phone being moved (picked up)

Hi,

thanks, not really because if i wanted an intentional action like shake i might as well remembe rto check missed calls. The pick up trigger is good because thats what the user do without having to remember anything - and then be notified that a call was missed

If you use shake TRIGGER on max sensitivity it could fire even when you only just move your phone a little or pick it up, not thinking about that.

You could use "change macrodroid settings" action to make that trigger super sensitive and working with screen off, after you miss the call.

Thanks, i just tested. This does not work - it dont detekt a pickup, i have to shake rather unnatural hard to make it fire. Even when max on sensitivity.

So if its not a existing trigger, maybe this could be implemented ?

Did you try the 'Flip device' sensor with 'Face Down --> Face Up'? Could it help you?

yes i tried that and wrote that in the initil posting. Thats not the way you would handle your phone when picking it up, so it wont work

Maybe the Glimpse app can help you?

It has a 'motion detection' feature. I use this app (but not this feature) and the developer is very responsive and helpful.

thanks, yes i know that app, but it would make sense to have the same in MD, instead of using multiple apps to cover features

Any response from developer ?

thanks

There is a sensor call Signficant motion which may work in this case. I remember playing with it a few years back and it seemed utterly unreliable on many devices and simply would not fire on some. I'll make a note to take another look when I can to see how it is now.
