to launch DND plannings

Hey there.
I've just left my old Xiaomi with custom rom for Motorola Edge 20 lite with stock rom and something I'm missing is the chance to separate notification and ringone volume (I had it in the custom rom).
I see in Do Not Disturb I can set different plannings (event type), so for example I could set one for when I sleep with calls allowed only from starred contacts and one for when I'm in the office, with calls from everyone and silent for other notifications.
I'd like to launch those plannings with MD, but it looks like I can't.
Is there a way for doing it?

Thanks.
Luigi.

With MacroDroid you can adjust the volume of the ringtone and notifications (and more) separately; you can create a macro that, based on time, location or other triggers, modifies the various volumes without using the DND

Hmmmm but (at least in Android 11) I only have one single volume for notification and ringtone, so if I set ringtone volume = 100, also notification volume is 100 and same thing if I set notification volume...

If you use the MD Volume Change action you can adjust the ringer volume separately from the notification volume. Although when you press the volume keys you see only one slider, in reality the audio channels in the system are separate and can be adjusted independently.

I had the notification&ringtone slider at 50%, set an action volume change with notification volume = 0.
I received a message and no sound, I got a call and no sound.
I changed that action volume change for setting notification volume = 50.
I received a message and I got sound, I got a call and I had sound.

What am I missing?
Thanks.

Unfortunately this tends to be a manufacturer specific limitation. Some devices (such as Samsung I believe) do still support separate volume channels for ringer and notifications but others have followed the awful new Android standard of combining them.

Just another example of making Android worse in the new version of the OS.... I just don't understand why they felt the need to do this (at least make it optional)
