Tab S8+ and Ultra: Enable Bluetooth broken?

I have two Samsung tablets, a Tab S8+ and a Tab S8 Ultra.

Both just received major updates to Android 14 (and One UI 6.0).

It looks like MacroDroid has lost the ability to turn the Bluetooth on or off.

Can anyone else confirm this?

It should work once you have macrodroid helper apk installed and you granted permission called 'nearby devices' (to helper app as well). Try that and let us know

Android 14 was released a long time ago and we have confirmed that there are no problems with Pixel devices.
It should work if you uninstall the helper once and then reinstall it and grant all permissions.

Well, fudge. Now I have to remember how I did that the first time.

I was able to control bluetooth on my Galaxy S23 so it shouldn't be impossible because it's Samsung.

What does this mean and how do I get around it?:

adb: failed to install MacroDroidHelper.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_DEPRECATED_SDK_VERSION: App package must target at least SDK version 23, but found 21]

This is just weird. Before doing anything to my S8+, I deleted the helper app from my Ultra. I'm still farting around with getting helper reinstalled - no joy so far. Then I went back to see how the permissions were set on the S8+. I can't remember how they were, but I reset them, and it works!
Thinking simplistically, doesn't it seem like I should be able to copy helper from one to m the other?

As for installing the Android 14 helper, the method has been established since the beta version.
There is a thread explaining it, so please refer to it and do it.

If you still can't install, please post a detailed description of the installation procedure you followed.

Success. Once I committed to starting over from scratch, with an empty folder on my desktop, it installed without a hitch. I'll guess ADB doesn't like to run from within my Downloads folder. Maybe something in my Environment Variables?
