You probably downloaded a macro for Uber drivers from the Template store. Text is in Portuguese (from Brazil).I am very confused as what this is. I have never had anything like that. I don't have a macro running that could send that. Also I can't read that. That's not german and definitely not english.

I know but I guess that only users who are concerned by these macros are able to receive such messages...Some users get this, it's MacroDroid who sends this (Jamie has tried to partner with some of these but it hasn't been a success).
I have checked. I have not. Never ever. That's the weird thing. You probably downloaded a macro for Uber drivers from the Template store. Text is in Portuguese (from Brazil).
But why does it get sent? As you said it hasn't worked to partner. Why sending then? Some users get this, it's MacroDroid who sends this (Jamie has tried to partner with some of these but it hasn't been a success).
Let's wait for Dev's answer...But why does it get sent? As you said it hasn't worked to partner. Why sending then?
Firstly apologies for the delay responding to this and secondly apologies that you received this message it should have been sent to only users in Brazil (where a large percentage of users are using the app for Uber/99 related functionality). I'm not sure why you would have received it if you are not in Brazil because I don't have other complaints about seeing this so maybe something when wrong in this isolated case.
I have started a partnership with StopClub to provide an enchanced macro set to Uber/99 users (currenlty only enabled in Brazil). As I'm sure most people are aware from the template store MacroDroid has become very popular with Uber and related services to help drivers get good information on if a job is worth taking (and other usability improvements). This is of course great for MacroDroid downloads and purchases but it has also created an enormous strain on me (in terms of support and complaints) as most of these users don't really care about learning how to use MacroDroid or understand much about what it even is (they just want it to work for them). Added to this is the fact that the macros break from time to time and need updating (which users don't know is needed or how to do etc.) it has become very problematic.
Furthermore StopClub (who are the main creator of the macros in Brazil) have to spend a lot of time creating and supporting the macro set which costs them a lot in time and money. So with all this in mind we are trialing a partnership where we offer users a built in service in MacroDroid that does all this functionality with a (hidden) built in macro set (that they don't need to see or configure). It has enhanced features, very easy setup, easy updating and direct support from StopClub. In return for this ease of use it is a (relatively low cost) subscription service which will be revenue shared between MacroDroid and StopClub. It's an experiment for both of us and a great potential new revenue stream for MacroDroid. So far it's looking positive and we hope to roll out to a few other countries in due course. I will try my best to avoid spammy notifications that will annoy users as it rolls out to more countries).
In case anyone is worried, I have no intention of ever changing the standard MacroDroid pro version to become a subscription and I am still working very hard on standard MacroDroid development to keep moving the app forwards. This new revenue has allowed me (finally) to give up all other contracting work so I can have my full attention on MacroDroid development moving forwards.
OK, thank you very much for the quick response, I appreciate it in advance.@johnskydraw Whatever you are referring to is in no way related to StopClub. They don't integrate anything directly into the app, they simply provide me with macro sets. For anyone not using StopClub there can be zero impact from the addition of this functionality as it will do nothing.
I am aware that a very tiny percentage of users are seeing some usage patterns of the app beyond what they expect and I am conversation with some users in attempts to diagnose these issues. This is an extremely complex app with a lot of things going and when combined with different behaviors from different devices it makes these sorts of problems very hard to diagnose. However I think the scale of this problem is actually very small and only a hadnful of users have raised such concenrs.
