Hi guys, I tried to use the SMS reception function to turn off the smartphone that my son uses but it doesn't work ... I also tried to directly apply some of the examples I find, but the trigger does not go off.
How come? the permissions I have given them.
Thanks!

Try using the monitor inbox option.

I also tried the macro on my smartphone, receiving the text message from a third phone, but also on mine it does not activate. Both are Xiaomi. It is possible that the problem is the chat functionality, which at the moment I cannot deactivate ... thanks Jacob! alternatives?

If you are sending Android -> Android it is quite likely you are using RCS messages (not SMS). Unfortunately the SMS trigger only works with old school SMS messages and there is no way to monitor RCS messages from a background app.

I would recommend the notification trigger as suggested by @Jacob L
