Sms received issues

Texts received by sms used as triggers used to work but now they don't. They don't register as being invoked.

This is just a basic one to test.

Any suggestions?
There are no denied permissions for macrodroid. The macro is on.

Thanks

The thing is you are probably not receiving SMS, instead you are receiving RCS messages which is a new Android protocol and breaks everything.

Thanks for the instruction.

Yes, that was the case.

Now I can trigger the macro, but is there a way to have the auto response?

Previously, it pulled the sms number. Is there a way to pull this number? It's not, as I can tell, in the list of options provided, as the sms sending number/contact is.

Is there movement to add rcs or genetic text message triggers or services or whatever term applies?

Using Google Messages, the Notification Title ie {not_title} should be the sender; if the sender is in your contacts you'll get the name rather than the number though
