Set wallpaper to magic text

i found that KWGT has a really cool feature that can display a picture of the cover of the current song inside a widget.

it uses "$mi(cover)$" formula and returns this path "kuri://bitmap/music/16288127899"

this already looks pretty cool inside a widget but it gave me another idea, i now want to set my wallpaper to this formula!

so i opened macrodroid to set it up, only to find out that the "Set wallpaper" action only let's me pick a fixed picture...

i did some searching on google but all i found was an unanswered post from 2 years ago asking something similar, so i want to ask is there another way to do this? is there a plugin? can the shell script action do this?, please enlighten me!

Yes this is really cool, I have an idea and I didn't tried this one but using a klwp will work since it uses the same formula?
but if anyone had a solution to this one I'd like to try it as well

thank you for the suggestion,

i had never heard of KLWP, and i can't get it working on my android 7.1 emulator, but i just downloaded it on my android 10 phone and i can confirm it does work on there! (i must say it does not look very good, because my phone is in portait mode and the picture is in landscape mode)

i'm now gonna see if i can make it work on the emulator by downloading an older apk version..

i got it to work on the emulator aswell, i even found an option to make the image fade in and out, so it is moving a bit! (this doesn't seem to work on the lockscreen though)

now i "just" have to make all my widgets (semi) transparent and sort the rest of my homescreen out.. :ROFLMAO:

That's real nice, I'm gonna try that one too. but it'll be good too if macrodroid can do the same thing too. so I'm gonna wait until someone gives us a help😁
