Hi. We have been using Macrodroid for about a year for our small business and we love it.

we had a little trouble configuring the auto text initially, but once we got it right it's worked great ever since.

I am requesting help today over a very minor issue (big for me). I need to edit the text in the message, but can't figure out how to do that without losing the current message and having to start everything over from scratch.

The "edit" button only allows me to change the action/constraint. i just want to edit the message...nothing else.

I'm sure there is a very easy way to do this, I just can't seem to find it though.

Any help you can lend would be greatly appreciated. :)

Are you sending a text (SMS) message via a "Send SMS" action, within a macro? The message text would be editable via tapping on that action, then tapping "Configure", then editing the text in the action configuration screen.

Thank You RSF...I actually found the answer in a google search and it led me to a forum post that I made about a year ago asking a very similar question...lol.

your suggestion, is very similar to what I needed to do last time.

getting old is hell. lol

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond!

For anybody looking for that other answer i mentioned above...just type in Texxxxxxxxxx (10 x's) and click into that conversation.

it's a very long question, but ultimately a pretty good step by step for a basic function of MacroDroid...at least what we use it for...texting a response to a missed call.

thanks again RSF and thank you MacroDroid...super app!
