Pushbutton starts macro?

I would like to start a macro by pressing a physical button (outside the phone).
Does anyone have a solution to this, or ideas for how it can be solved?
What kind of push button can be used and should other iot platforms / programs be used?

You use intent received triggers to achieve this in some cases. My macro called New Triggers (http://www.macrodroid.com/macrostore?id=5356) will help. Or you can use a button remapper app to run shortcuts including MacroDroid ones

What button you mean? How will be the button connected with the phone? Please specify your button more.

If you can have it send a notification as a routine then you could use that notification as a trigger for MD.

It will depend on the features of the actual Bluetooth button, but for example triggers such as Home Button Long Press, Media Button Pressed, Volume Button Pressed, Volume Button Long Pressed.

Yes, I understand. But I need a solution, where none of the existing "functions" (ie. volume up/down) are touch ....
