phantom trigger

I wanted to turn on my hotspot automatically when I entered my car and turn it off when I exited my car. So I installed macrodroid and defined a trigger to turn on the hotspot when the phone connected to my car's BT, and off when it disconnected. This didn't work very well, and I didn't have the time to debug why so I uninstalled the app and just do it manually. The problem is that uninstalling the app did not delete the trigger, and now every time my car BT connects or disconnects I get an Android pop-up to choose which app to perform the action. This is extremely annoying. I tried forgetting and repairing, but that didn't work. Any suggestions of how to get rid of this phantom trigger? Thanks!

Which app did you uninstall? Can we see the pop-up, sometimes intra has an "always" option. Maybe your system log may show something.

If you have enabled admin access, that's the problem

Hi Jacob - thanks for your quick response! I used the standard Android uninstall invoked from the home screen app (on Samsung S10e - Home screen app v13.1.05.03) I just tried reinstalling macrodroid and then uninstalling it again from the app troubleshooting menu - when I get bacck to my car later today I will see if it solved the problem. Thanks!

Thanks Snurre for your quick reply! I don't *think* I enabled admin access - but maybe I did. Anyway, based on your recommendation I just tried reinstalling macrodroid and then uninstalling it again from the app troubleshooting menu as you suggested - when I get back to my car later today I will see if it solved the problem. Thanks!
