MIUI 14 "MacroDroid isn't responding" loop

So I had my phone update to MIUI 14 overnight and now when MacroDroid isn't responding it just spams the with this dialog again and again until I press OK to stop the app.
Reboot did nothing.
Tried reinstalling the app (and keeping the data because I'm not going to get myself into the trouble of setting everything up). Did nothing either.
My choices are to prevent this dialog by optimizing macros or to kill MD every time.
How weird...
At least MIUI 14 lets me trigger the assistant (MD) via the power button.

This also made me make a script for people who have MD stuck completely after updating their device. I have it as a shell script right now but I'll rewrite it in bash (for Windows cmd) too.

I have not updated recently, but have had no problems with MIUI 14 on several devices.
I have many devices and I think I have a lot of experience with updates, but I have never had MacroDroid crash after an update.
I suspect the crash is caused by something else.

Also MacroDroid does work fine when this dialog pops up in a loop, I thought I said that but apparently I didn't.
Overall MIUI 14 wasn't a good update. Just more restrictions for a changed interface with almost same features.

Some people have actually crashed, so I think it's important to have information to avoid losing macros.
Even if it crashes, I think there are people who give up and reinstall without taking any countermeasures and lose the macros, so I don't think research is useless.
