I was trying to make a Macro using the app TimeRecording Pro , which supports the Locale/Tasker Plugin from MacroDroid. One of the options available is to open the Open task selection from the app. This action is also available as a Widget from the app. This however does not work most of times, Macrodroid seems to skip this step and continue with all other steps in the macro.
It might be a problem of the app itself and not necessarily from Macrodroid but in case someone has the same issue I leave this post. I thought the "Draw over other apps" might be require, but the App does not need such permission.
I was able to go around the problem by first using the Launch App from Macrodroid, forcing a new one.
