Incoming SMS Macro Not Working

Downloaded attached macro from Templates. Macro doesn't show incoming SMS messages. Also created a simple macro that should pop up a toast message when a text message is received to confirm the problem was not the downloaded macro.

Would appreciate assistance.

There's an setting in MacroDroid that may help:
Settings > Trigger Options > SMS Received > Monitor Inbox

Already set that. Didn't make a difference.

Coincidentally another thread in last couple days describes the same issue -- incoming texts not triggering a macro. Someone in that thread said that RCS-enabled messages in the Google Messages app can't be detected in MacroDroid.
If so and you're using Messages and RCS, and you don't need RCS, you might try disabling it to see if that helps.
Otherwise, a possible workaround might be to change your macro to trigger on a notification being posted from the Messages app, instead of an SMS message received.

Yes that is correct, there currently seems to be now way in Android to support RCS messages in third party apps.
