huge MD battery drain

Hey there.
I've been using MD for years and now since one of the last updates I'm facing a huge battery drain due to MD (never faced before):

I've checked my macros and I don't see anything new.
I've quite a few of them depending on cell towers, but also if I remain in the same area all day long, I face the same drain.

Anyone else having this issue or any advice on hot to avoid it?
Thanks.
Luigi.

If you leave your screen off you will see this "increase" but MacroDroid uses the same amount of battery. It just the other apps using less battery..
To be clear the 65% doesn't mean 65% of all the battery but 65% of the used battery.

I would still say that this is rather unusual. What you can try is to force MacroDroid to stop. I mean force stop it from the system settings, not just close it. Then reopen it and grant the lost accessibility permissions if you used them. This might help in cases where a service is going into some kind of loop, also this can generally be a cure for any piece of software. What could also cause this is if you use a lot of location-based triggers with fast update cycles set, or a logcat trigger with a lot of buffers selected, etc.

Thanks, giving it a try.
Actually it's surely unusual, cause it's not only high battery percentage for MD, but my phone is really draining battery very fast in the last few days.
As per cell towers/location-based trigger, now I have quite a few cell groups (19) with cell tower rate 5 minutes (but I've always had them, also when battery lasted days)..should I use geofence instead?
And per logcat triggers I have 3 macros depending on the finger used for unlocking (but again, they're not new).

Thanks FrameXX.
That worked perfectly: after doing what you suggested, my phone charge is lasting days as before, and not hours (and now MD is at 3% in Battery usage).

Probably I've found out what the issue could be.
I've faced this battery drain for a while, then in AdGuard app I've untoggled 'Route traffic through AdGuard' for Macrodroid and Macrodroid Helper and I've never experienced this problem anymore.
