Helper APK and SMS permissions

Is it possible to bring back the SMS features by using the Helper APK? That would please a lot of people. Otherwise, you should be able to apply for exemption via the automation apps clause of Google's policy

Are you referring to the SMS output trigger? It may be possible to bring this back without even needing the helper. There was a lot of confusion around the time as I was rejected the permissions required for this so I had to remove it. They later back tracked on these rejections for other apps so I may be able to try my luck again.

Message sent trigger for example, or anything SMS related that could be brought back would be great.
