I'm at a total loss. I was researching how I can possibly separate my ringer volume and notification volume and macrodroid came up. So I installed it. Now I'm at a total loss. It blows my mind that this is not an option on a brand new 2022 phone. Even you Google it it lies and tells you it's not an available option on Android. Every other Android phone I've had came with the ability to do so. Anyway if this something they macros can help with. If so past walk me thru 🙄

MacroDroid can't change your notification and ringer volume separately if the system treats them as connected. If you try to use MacroDroid Set Volume action only for notification it will also change the ringer volume and vice versa. I think it's unfortunately impossible to achieve audio channel separation with MacroDroid, at least not this way.

This guy seems to be having the same issue. I think what he describes could be also achieved with MacroDroid. You could possibly use MacroDroid to temporarily increase the volume when an incoming call is coming and then lower it into the previous volume again. It could work, but doesn't need to.

EDIT: try to import macro I attached and tell me if it works. By default ringer wolume will be set to 80%. This value is saved in MacroDroid global variable and you can manipulate it with any other MacroDroid macro.
