I realise that the only solution to this problem is to enable a new trigger. Whenever a macro is invoked by clicking on a notification, that macro should treat that notification clicking as a trigger.
Also the standard triggers related to notification is received and cleared. "Clicked" on that notification or "Swiped" on that notification might also be very useful triggers to make use of.
