Change Bluetooth audio codec (developer setting)

I tried to use a macro that detects changes in system settings but seems like it goes undetectable. Is there any easy way to change this setting using MacroDroid?

Sorry but I'm not aware of any way this can be changed programmatically. If anyone knows differently please do share here.

Is there maybe a way to create a shortcut to that point?
Someone on Reddit recommended using shell scripts but I've never done that.

You can make a shortcut to developer options, then either directly click on the setting using UI Interaction (which may or may not work) or scroll down there and clicking using UI interaction.

On my phone (Galaxy S23) searching for "codec" in settings and clicking on search result ”BT Codec” opens at the Bluetooth Codec settings.

This may only work on certain phones, but is worth trying.

On my S23 I can't change from the default SBC when no BT earphones are connected.

When I connect my BT earphones (I use Sony) it automatically selects LDAC. The best codec for Sony.

So I don't need to manually change the codec.
