Battery help please

I'm not sure. It shouldn't be doing much.

The thing is that because I was asleep all other apps weren't actually doing anything but MacroDroid did do little bits of processing and held wakelocks (I have a 1 minute interval trigger).
I think having a 1 minute trigger interval followed by a few or more seconds of MD processing is going to use a lot of battery.

This is strange, I have an alarm macro that every minute changes the value of a variable and verifies that this value is equal to any of the values stored in a list of alarms. And yet the consumption of MacRodroid is minimal.

1 day I'll let MacroDroid do heavy data processing for all of the night and see if it can be above 99% 😀

No, I don't think it's strange as changing a variable takes less than a millisecond and checking value to values stored in a list, a few 10s of milliseconds depending on the number of values stored in the list. So every minute the macro probably runs for less than 0.05 seconds, not the many seconds I suggested. That's a 100:1 difference in usage.

Anyway @Endercraft has subsequently said MD is doing a lot of intensive data processing while he's asleep. That's the reason for his very high MD battery consumption

I said I should make it do that one day, not that it is actually doing it every night.

I'm intrigued ,what is MD doing to use 77% battery overnight?
It is 77 percent of the total consumption. At night it is plausible that no app is used and the screen is turned off. It is very likely that during the day, at equal MacroDroid usage, MD's battery percentage is much lower.

You're definitely right!

Yes, 77% of the total consumption.

Having wakelocks and a macro with 1 minute trigger suggests the phone is unlikely to deep sleep, when the total consumption would be very low.

What's missing is the total consumption figure.
