Autotask shortcut

On my phone running android 13, when I created a new autotask, the procedure asked me if I wanted a shortcut. I said yes and a shortcut to the autotask was created on the home page and it works perfectly.

On my phone running android 11, the same procedure does not ask if I want to create a shortcut.

I would like a similar shortcut on the android 11 phone. Is that possible?

When you say 'autotask', do you mean 'macro' ?

You can probably just use the MacroDroid Shortuct widget to achieve the same thing. Just try and add a widget to your home screen in the normal way and select MacroDorid shortctut.

I don't believe there should be a difference between Android 11 and 13. The issue is most likely due to the home screen launcher you are using and even if you don't use a custom launcher different vendors often have their own launchers which can make a difference.
