Both the command where succesful but termux-wallpaper is still stuck :'(

To test i've wget the picture and tried termux-wallpaper -f <filename> it does the same. so it's not a network issue.

I think some persmission are needed for termux to be allowed to change the wallpaper maybe ? (I can't see which one yet...)
I don't to root anything just to change a wallpaper ?

I installed only termux and termux-api from F-Droid on a new device and tried it and it works fine.
I haven't messed with any permissions, no rooting required.

Please uninstall it once and try this procedure.

1.Install termux
2.Install termux-api
3.pkg install termux-api
4.termux-wallpaper command

I've unsinstall termux and reinstall following your list.
Still the same behaviour.
For information I'm trying to do this on a Galaxy Z fold 4 maybe there is a catch here...

It's really weird.

I tested it on a Samsung device and termux-wallpaper works by allowing all permissions.
Please try it when you have time.

The termux:api App doesn't appear in the list at first, I've to download the apk from f-droid that may be the part that I misunsterstood.
with the permissions set I was able to change via command line, now i'll try to automate it.

Thanks for the help you've provided.

I'll search a bit for my self to make this work and let you know I soon as I manage to get it work
