Assistant menu

On my Android 14 phone, i can tap the Accessibility button (situated at right of navigation bar, below keyboard), which has the "Assistant menu" shortcut, which enables/disables the Assistant menu.

I currently use it just for taking screenshots, as it's easier than fumbling around with pressing volume down + side key. Also i saves the physical buttons wearing i suppose.

But on my older Android 10 phone, there is no such Accessibility button. So i have been trying to enable/disable the Assistant menu using macrodroid.

However, i can only disable it, not enable.

This works
--> System Setting: [System] assistant_menu = 0
It hides the menu.

This doesn't work
--> System Setting: [System] assistant_menu = 1
It doesn't show the menu.

Any ideas?
I was hoping for a quick on/off that i can add to the macrodroid drawer.

For now I'll have to use
--> Launch Shortcut: Select shortcut: Accessibility.
This shows the Accessibility page in Settings.
I might use UI Interaction, to tap "Interaction and dexterity", and then maybe also "Assistant menu" switch.

Use UI click trigger > long click >text(back). Now you should have a trigger for the back button long press. Action: screenshot

That's a good idea. I haven't yet mapped long-press </back to anything. Quicker than tapping "Screenshots" in Assistant menu, and probably a tad quicker than voulme down + side key.

Although, i have managed to get Accessibility menu working on that phone now, using Automate app.

You can also add a quick tile or make a floating button appear which displays a menu with several functions such as screenshots, application.....

You can also add a quick tile ...
I had created one, but it's a tad slow to get to. It takes 2 swipes down to get to (my top row of QS tiles is taken by other things which i don't want to change). It needs to be quicker/easier/etc, as i use it a lot.

Basically, my theory is that the speed/ease should be proportional to how often the function is used.
So for screenshots, i do between about 20-80 screenshots per day, which is high usage.
Which means i need a SUPER quick way to take them.
Other things i use much less often, like screen rotation, which i have put on my 2nd QS page (this takes 3 swipes to get to).
Or my smart home app widgets which are on my 3rd home screen (takes 1 tap + 2 swipes to get to).
Clock, Photo, Messages, Settings, My Files, .. are on main home page, as use them the most (only 1 tap to get to).

I'm not sure about using a floating button, as they can get in the way. Even the docked Assistant menu button also, as sometimes i accidently tap it, or move it, when aiming for something else in the vicinity.

How about using the swipe screen trigger to take a screenshot?
I like that idea!💡. That could work. Have created a macro, and will start trying that way.

That's weird. Just now, i got 2 errors which have never seen before, soon after i created the macro, and as i tried to cut/paste the emojie. They were "Opera isn't responding" and "System UI isn't responding".

I cannot use the Accessibility button, as then i can't see the keyboard selection button, as there's only one spot there.
