Action Block info

Hi everyone, I apologize for my immense ignorance, I'm over 70
In some macros I use the action block, but I still haven't been able to figure out what you can or should enter in the boxes indicated in the screenshot.
Can someone simply explain to me what they can be used for, or better yet give me a visible example, or via an attached macro.

Often, a person can find examples in the Templates tab. Found this template which is commented, easy to understand and executes an action block.
