Simulation of pressing the power button

My phone Pixel 7, Android 14

When I ride my bike I disable the screen lock with the power button. After that I can easily turn on the screen use a double tap, but to turn off the screen I have to press the power button, which is not very convenient since the phone is inside a transparent bag.

Is it possible with macroroid (without root) to simulate pressing the power button? I tried the "Screen Off" action, but in that case the phone is locked.

Try setting Screen Timeout to one second, then immediately after the screen has gone off, reset Screen Timeout to your normal preferred value.

I tried setting the timeout to 1 second, but the screen turns off after only 10 seconds.
But it's better than the standard 15 seconds, thanks)

Try other settings? 2 seconds, 5 seconds...

Are you turning the screen off to preserve the battery? Or to prevent unwanted UI interactions? Or...?

I've tried setting other values, but it always turn off after 10 seconds.

I sometimes use the phone while driving and I want to turn off the screen after use, the power button is not convenient in my case. So far the best solution is to wait 10 seconds for the screen to turn itself off.

Does the screen turn off if you go to the device home screen (the screen that appears when the device is booted) and tap twice in quick succession on an empty part of the screen?
