Will this help Jamie? I hope so

Yes this is the most amazing news. Yesterday was actually my birthday and it was the best present I think I've ever had :)

What Google has done is actually much simpler and nicer than Apple's complex system. All developers will be charged 15% on the first $1 million per year and then 30% after that. This for example is much better for my current company where I do contract work, since they earn slightly above the threshold. For Apple they basically get no benefit from this new threshold but with Google nearly all sales will be at the lower commission rate.

Of course MacroDroid will never be anywhere near this threshold so all sales from July will be charged 15% commission. This actually ends up with me receiving an extra 21% on top of what I currently get for each sale, which is massive considering it comes with no effort on my part.

I've now had two good experiences with Google within one month. Happy days!

As an ex-Lotus 123 R2.4 macro writer for a major oil company on an IBM PC AT running Dos on a 20mb hard drive (!) and bought in 1984 for 6700 pounds plus VAT (!), I would like to congratulate you Jamie

I know the amount of effort it takes writing and bullet-proofing software to avoid date entries of 31.09.2021 for example and think you are an absolute genius in what you've made available to Android users. I built a suite of programs for 15 staff on a Novell network to operate, price, and account international oil cargoes and after 17 years had compiled over 7 million characters of code, nobe of which could be written down due to the ever-changing demands on the software.

I have only two suggestions for your beautiful MD. Can you add a "paste below" and a "disable this macro" from within its own menu? I also noticed that for very fast phones (888) there is a frequent need to 'put the brakes' on the code with 'wait' comnands. Also macros can get into an endless loop by programming error and the phone then needs hard-resetting. No way back in! 'Disable macrodroid' panic button does not stop them....

I have spent the last 3 months with it, writing 70-odd macros to start off my cycling, walking and driving activities using Suunto's brilliant Sports Tracker app depending on what BT headphones or watch etc.

It is great fun and I am very impressed with your app

I am currently thinking about a way to automatically send my GPS coords to the Web and get a regular commentary on my surroundings from wiki et al.

Well done Jamie. You've given me sleepless nights.... again
😉

Yeah, MD is the best Android app ever

I just think it's a bit odd, if you have made so many progs/apps/Macros as you point out, you of all should know how importent it is to read documentation/wiki and figure out the app itself

What you suggest is already available in MD

And if you use "Cancel" instead of "disable" that also works

Thanks. The trouble is knowing where to place the 'cancel' command before the bug/loop! Like knowing the lottery numbers before the draw. Anyway I've had a couple of uncancellable / undisablable (!) loops so far. Hard reset required

Do you have any specific templates in mind for my GPS based cyclists' POI and running commentary idea. Or you just THINK it's available in MD?

As to reading the app's doc/wiki I will try to do better! Too busy winging it. Like I did with Lotus in the 80s.

By your tone I suspect you are an older member of the MD Police, right?! LOL

I don't know your macro's but it should be possible to set and check a var in the loop, eks boolean, if true continue else break from loop
Or you could make an "Emergency stop" trigger wich breaks from the loop, it could be a quick tile, floating button, from drawer or whatever, you don't need a hard reset

I don't THINK it's possible, I KNOW MD can save your current position in a var, then you just have to figure out how your POI app can react to that, by send intent, http get or something else

And about my "tone", MD police? Naah, don't think so 😉
It's just my way to comment on trivial, obviesly suggestions that's already implemented, you should know that with all these users you say you have 😉

That's great, the company will definitely be successful for many years to come. Google services are irreplaceable for me, for example I often use https://docsandslides.com/google-docs/ besides excel and drive. I personally don`t download anything from Play Market for fee, and anything with a rating below 4 either. In the same way, when choosing an unfamiliar app I read reviews. Thanks to this I`ve never had any problems. I constantly download games of different directions, also a useful thing, use them mainly when I have to wait - in the hospital, subway, etc.
