Wear OS app pulled off yet again

To any Wear OS users...

The wonderful Google have pulled the Wear OS app again, claiming that it doesn't function. I have tested myself and don't see any issues. Does anyone else have any issues with it? The Wear APK app was live for many weeks before they suddenly decided it doesn't work.

I have appealed the decision and pleaded for information regarding what the exact problem is and what exactly I need to do to resolve, and as ever they just come back with boiler plate cut and paste bullshit.

This is currently interfering with my new beta rollouts and blocking them passing the reviews. I'm not really a fan of Wear OS but I know some users are using the Wear OS app so I don't want to just abandon it (although sometimes I feel like throwing in the towel).

Here is the boilerplate response to my appeal

Status: Latest app update not accepted into Wear OS on Google Play

I’ve reviewed your appeal request and found that your app MacroDroid - Device Automation, (com.arlosoft.macrodroid) still contains eligibility issues. I’ve included details below about the specific issue with your app and what you can do to meet the requirements for Wear OS.

Step 1: Fix the eligibility issue with your app

During review, we detected the following eligibility issue and were unable to accept your app for Wear OS:

  • The basic functionality of your app does not work as described. Wear OS functionality should work as expected or as described in the app's Google Play Store listing. Please make sure to test your app on a variety of Wear OS devices and configurations.
    • For example, your app (version code 8407) does not communicate with phone app as shown in your store listing.
Please update your app to fix this issue and make sure to deactivate the non-compliant app bundle for app bundle version 8407. You can refer to the linked materials for additional guidance.

I also use the Macrodroid WearOS companion app on my Samsung Galaxy 4 watch. It seems to function just fine for my needs.

I'm not sure what wear Os does or how to get it now, but I'm open to learning more and possibly helping with testing things out.
