v5.47 - Feedback

Apparently I was wrong, the system does listen with screen off, however it will not tell MacroDroid.

I didn't see it mentioned. However, the volume trigger worked even when the screen was off. Because I already had some macros which are not working now.
I found two ways to solve this problem. MacroDroid logcat trigger and Exposed/Lsposed module. But I have seen some problems while using them.
For example-
• Logcat trigger doesn't work all the time.
• Even if the module works correctly, the system considers it permanent. Therefore, the sound labels are not case sensitive.

Hopefully MacroDroid authorities will fix it soon, in the next update

Does someone have a sms trigger working?
I didn't register for RCS and it still wont work.
It did work on my, last phone.
Switched from pixel to S24U

Edit: Samsung messages app is broken and they don't seem to work on it anymore.
After using Google messages everything works fine.

For obvious bugs, please use report a bug in troubleshooting section with a clear description.

For other issue and discussions (related only to this beta), please leave all feedback here.

This is not true. I have tested various loops and they are working ok.

If you a specific problem with a specific macro please share it via report a bug as the problem is much more likely to be something more specific than all loops are broken.

Same problem with all, not just specific macros.
When downgrading to version V5.47.11 , loop works.

Android version 12

I'm not sure when this bug may have crept in but with the Speak Text action the Block Next Actions Until Complete is based on the text entry box below, and doesn't account for length of what it's speaking if it's reading from {clipboard} or variables like {notification}.

Please use report a bug in troubleshooting to report the bug in the normal way and include a macro that demonstrates the proble,. Please describe in precise detail what you are seeing because at this time I don't understand how what you are saying is possible because the code literally waits for the text to speech engine to complete saying whatever it says before proceeding.

Yes I made the detailed view text yellow as I wanted it to be more obvious when you have the detailed view open and show clearly the difference between standard messages and detailed messages.

Running v5.47.17 Pro, with connectivity helper, google Pixel 6a, and android 14. No luck with hotspot commands enabling or disabling. I've been seeing it's fixed early iterations of 5.47, so I'm not sure why it's not working for me.

I use a Pixel 6a as my main test device and have just done a clean install of the latest beta and connectivity helper and all is working well for me. Are you sure you have granted all permissions to the helper and disabled battery optimization?

I replied to the original thread thinking that this is not a problem specific to this beta.

Here's photos of my settings. Is it possible, me changing the launcher could be the issue? Also, I only think I did the ADP stuff on PC correctly. I don't really have a full proof way of knowing lol

@oljareddale It looks like everything is configured as it should be, so I'm struggling to come up with an explanation here. If you revert back to v5.46.10 does the hotspot action work again (No helper required on this version).

I tried all settings (toggle hotspot, alternative method, legacy, and regular... Disable hotspot alternative, legacy, and regular... Enable hotspot alternative, legacy, and regular) and nothing worked on v5.46.10. only 3 options gave me any feedback. Whenever I used enable, disable, or toggle hotspot and checked the legacy option it gave me this notification in the photo. All other options gave me no feedback and appeared to do nothing. If I did the ADP stuff wrong would that cause this?

Edit: I uninstalled version 5.47.17 and helper prior to installing 5.46.10 and I made sure I enabled all permissions before testing.

Edit2: the photo depicts the macro failing to turn off hotspot when I turn on Bluetooth

I can also confirm, 5.48.0 with the new helper and the older one (both are installed and setup, not sure if both are needed anymore?), and hotspot doesn't toggle/turn on/off. Running Android 14, OniUI 6.1.1 on Zflip 6 and all ADB commands in place.

Edit: Also interesting, running this to enable the wifi does not work either, nor does the standalone Enable WiFi action. I have a macro for Driving and Not Driving that disables/enables wifi respectively that worked a few versions ago (and likely I was on Android 13 at the time. I didn't notice this had broken.

Thank you! Very interesting. I found out a few months back that airplane mode on and/or location disabled causes the disable/enable wifi action to stop working because those are tied to "networking" API's. So I made sure just now location is on, and airplane mode is off, yet the Enable Wifi action, and the HotSpot On/Off action aren't changing the wifi state at all. And the ADM commands have been run to grant MD all the permissions. I'm not sure where the break is, but I'm happy to test anything else suggested here.
