[SOLVED] Sms recieved trigger not firing.

I have a couple of macros that run when certain text is recieved via sms that have worked for the last few years. However, in the last few weeks they no longer function. After looking at the logs it seems the trigger (sms recieved) is no longer firing. If I manually triger the macros they work fine... Is this a problem with the recent Android update? I have tried removing permissions and reinstating them to no avail. This problem is on both of my note 10+ phones. Any help in fixing this issue would be appreciated.

In messages, press the dots menu and choose chat features and turn off. See if this helps, RCS messages are handled differently. You could also tick the monitor inbox option in the SMS received trigger

Ok I found the problem, It has to do with what you said.

Solution : In messages, press the dots menu and choose chat settings. Go down to default message type and change to text or multimedia.

seems that if this setting is on automatic or chat, then the trigger does not fire reliably.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
