Will this keep my cellular radio on then? Normally, when I flip to airplane mode, then toggle wifi on, I can still call and text.

I just tried this and it didn't work, it's probably that your device will use calls and sms via wifi (google apps function) but when it detects that the aeroplane mode is activated it restricts it even if you have wifi connection.
It's weird because if I manually turn on airplane mode, then manually toggle the wifi to on under airplane mode settings, then I can still text and call.
