Background App Killing

Some OnePlusOne devices typically have one or more aggressive battery saving features that can prevent apps such as MacroDroid from correctly functioning. In order to prevent the MacroDroid background process being killed it is necessary to configure your device appropriately to disable this app killing functionality.

Great information can be found here: https://dontkillmyapp.com/oneplus

Please read through this site in detail and try to follow the guide as closely as possible to prevent background app killing.

Additional information

Below I am posting some screenshots that show the non-standard Battery settings provided on a OnePlusOne 3T. Please check your device for similar settings and disable as appropriate.

Here is another setting that a user has kindly pointed out.

See the screenshot below: You should use the lock in the recent apps to make sure MacroDroid does not get closed in the background.

I always wanted to try the one plus but they seem a little expensive for my budget. It does look like a great phone very nice features.

Have a look at Teracube phone. Has 4 year warranty and 4 years Android updates. OnePlus has this thread because they don't work very well with MacroDroid.

Concerning Oneplus 8, doesn't take bluetooth connection into account as condition. Tried adding condition in the conditions field, as a 'if' in the action field and even as a condition in the trigger field.
Known issue? Any workaround?
Apart from this, great app!

Is MacroDroid able to enable/disable Bluetooth and connect/disconnect Bluetooth devices?

Maybe it requires Location to be enabled? Or something under 'Special access' in Android settings?

Hi, thanks for replying!

I discovered that using bluetooth connection as a trigger works fine, so i think that's not the problem.
Then another problem occured:
I use the macro to start a Google Maps Route to work, but it fails when the screen/phone is locked while connecting to the bluetooth.
I now added a 'wait for trigger - screen unlocked' action. This seems to work fine!
