No. MacroDroid is not capable of OCR text scanning on its own.

Thank you FrameXX! Can we use another app from macrodroid? I just switched to android after 10 years at apple. It was very easy on iphone...

There are plenty of OCR text scanning apps if you search for them on the Google Play store. There's just no easy way to get scanned text into MacroDroid variable.

It is possible with TouchTask Plugin, just select OCR, specify the image and the variable and it should work.
However, the accuracy may not be very high.
