MD repeatedly crashing after update

Hi, and thanks in advance to all the smart people out there for helping me out. I'm running MD (version 5.19.10 Pro) on a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 running Android 7.

Yesterday evening, (11/23), I noted that MD had not been updated for a while, so I updated it through Google Play. Ever since then, MD has been repeatedly crashing at random intervals. Sometimes the error dialog asks me to restart the app, and sometimes it asks me to close the app. I don't know why this is happening, but I'd like to fix the issue causing this problem.

Anybody have any ideas or fixes or anything?

The latest MD helper v1.7 might help you

If nothing is changing after the update of the helper, let me see your system log just before crashing. Android 7 is outdated, so some of MD features might not be working even if updated.

Same for me since a long time (Galaxy A40, Android 9, MD 5.19 Pro with Helper 1.17). Hope it'll help @MacroDroidDev

As of Friday, 11/26, MD Helper v. 1.7 has been installed All macros are working, but MD is still crashing repeatedly. Crashes are now random and unpredictable. (The only way I k now is because Android throws a dialog saying that MD has crashed.) Any way to fix?

Just an idea... All, please comment on this:

I figure that the problem with MD crashing started when I updated via google play. What about uninstalling and reinstalling MD?

BTW, if anyone is still interested, there is no entry in the syslog when MD crashes. No indication in the MD system log that anything is wrong at all.

I don't update from Google Play so I don't think it has anything to deal with update source (provided this source is safe, if course).

Please use report a bug in troubleshooting if you are seeing regular crashes. This will enable me to try and find your crash in my crash logs.
