Is it possible to create a macro listening to sound? I have a siren, and it there is an alarm, I would like to receive a notification by SMS

not yet unfortunately, there is no such trigger
and the only external plugin (Autovoice) is not reliable

Hmmm, how about "Music/Sound Playing" trigger?

If the output stream for alarm or siren is set as Sound, then it can trigger with the Trigger, right?

Did you set the output stream?
You should select "music" in the
Setting - Play sound stream ?

The trigger "sound play" in my macro worked.

Or am I misunderstanding anything about what you like to do?

the OP (original poster) wants a trigger for sound outside the device, for example a siren, a baby screaming

such a trigger does not exist

but perhaps if there is an app that always listens from the microphone and outputs at the same time at the music/media channel
then using the trigger "Music/Sound Playing" as proposed by @JA-Translator
would do the job !!

it's s tricky way and needs a dedicated device for this monitoring (or never ever listen to normal music 😂)

Thanks to all, dsnz is right, I need to monitoring my siren. I would also be o.k. if I got a notification from a listening app.

I've found a post in the forum about "Automatic" and I have to say, this works very well. I receive a notification and can work from there with my macro.

Aha! On my device "Samsung Galaxy",
I found a Sound Detector ability.
It can catch a sound of Baby crying or Alarm siren etc.
I didn't know that until now. 😅

Don't you have the similar one on your device?

I know this app, and I have it everywhere but for transcribing only.
It didn't come to my mind to use as sound trigger because it processes the sound and notifies only for those sounds it assumes to be: siren, baby cry, and many others (really many indeed) so it's not a general trigger above a sound level (eg. any sound above 80 db)
but I must say for practical purposes it should be ok though it must be tested and that's what I'm going to do sometime soon 😊
