Is <Kill All Background Apps> node not doing what i think it is for, or do I need Root?

I have pixel 6a with adb hack.

I thought this node is going to turn off apps that are in the background (meaning: not in screen's foreground)

But It didn't ever work for me. Does this app do something else or does it need a Root?

(though im probably not gonna get root in this year, dont want to risk bricking my brand new pixel 6a).


PS. If it needs a root then i dont think theres any clarification that it does.

Android 14 kills this action and this only clears background processes. You need root, ADB or Shizuku to really kill apps

Kill background apps is largely pointless and could only ever kill dormant background apps. which is of little value in any case.
