When those apps are launched (Trigger 1), you could disable WiFi connection and enable it again when closed (Trigger 2).

Anyway be careful with App closed trigger: it doesn't always fire and another App launched trigger can fire instead if a new app is launched...

I can do it on every app. System apps can always use WiFi but you can restrict them from mobile data.

Some 3rd party apps don't take this setting into account and use WiFi anyway!

I have Android 12 pretty much AOSP and I couldn't find these settings, can you tell where they are in your phone?

In any case I believe OP's request is feasible with rooted phone. Installing AFwall+, it's a firewall also has local/tasker plugin. I use it with MacroDroid, it works fine

I guess these are in MIUI app setting screen but I think it's available in Android. I could turn off MIUI optimizations to verify but it will reset every permission for every app..

I don't know: I never had to use this feature so I didn't dig in it.

I'm using the netguard for this scenario, but sometime you know I forget to turn it on, my request is very clear can I restrict a few apps from access internet when I connect my work wi-fi I have the name I have the MAC address
