How to turn screensaver off?

Hi, hoping this is simple, But it eludes me. Running an unrooted Samsung Tab (do not wish to root it).

Tab runs as home automation screen, runs photo slideshow screensaver (Google photos app currently).

I have set Macrodroid to open security Camera app (by ‘clicking’ on the notification) when motion detected but this happens behind the screensaver.

Any help on how to turn off the screensaver? to which I would add a ‘wait’ set time before turning back on.

I tried ‘click’ on screen which does nothing.

Tried ‘launch home screen’ which didn’t still just happened behind screensaver.

I tried Kill background process, which didn’t override it either.

Thanks for any assistance.

Could you try and Android shortcut back button press action?
I did try back button, it seems to operate under screen saver but not stop screensaver. Unless there’s a different method using ‘shortcut button’ that I don’t know (I’m new to android sorry).

I don't know about tablet, but on phone in 'secure settings' there's an option 'screensaver_enabled' you could try to set this to '0' after clicking the notification and return to '1' after a wait
I'm not using screensaver myself, but just a thought, might be worth trying

I just fooled around a bit, enabled screensaver then made a little macro with action 'Screen on', it turns off the screensaver

Awesome thanks so much!

That worked and achieved the ideal outcome with no need for Re-enabling or wait times as the normal screen timeout and screensaver then eventually kicks back in as normal.
