Force Close and reopen Planet Rock (radio) app

First-time poster and I have no idea what I'm doing so please bear with me :)

Background:

I have a Grom Vline 2 Multimedia unit in my car. I don't use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, I just download apps onto the Vline and run them directly from there. The Vline needs Internet access, so I use my Xiaomi Mi10T as a wifi hotspot for it as a gateway to the Internet.

I have the Planet Rock Radio app installed on the Vline and it keeps dropping Internet connection. I assume it's a problem with the app because the Vline is still connected to the hotspot and one or two other apps that need Internet still have an active connection, even when Planet Rock drops out.

I've just discovered MacroDroid and wondered if it would be possible to install it on the Vline, then use it to set up a macro so that when Planet Rock loses the Internet, it will be detected by the macro which will then Force Close the Planet Rock app and reopen it again.

I don't know if this is possible and even if it is, I have no idea about the wording to use in the macro, so if anyone can offer any help or advice, it would be very much appreciated.

NB: In case it matters, the Vline runs Android 8.1 and the makers have no plans (so far) to upgrade it.

TIA

First detecting an app that loses it's connection would require the app saying that it loss it's connection, by a notification for example and using the notification as trigger. Then force closing an app is not possible for normal apps, meaning Vline would need to be rooted but I don't even know what Vline is so I can't really help.

Oh well, thanks for your reply anyway my friend, cheers.

Just in case it helps anyone else come up with an idea, the app does notify me but verbally, as in it says, "Planet Rock cannot connect to the Internet at the moment, so please check your connection."

Not sure if that helps, just putting it out there for info.
