On my Samsung S20 FE there is a feature to enable the fingerprint sensor to be always available when the screen is off.
When enabled, placing the finger on the sensor, the sensor lights up, scans the fingerprint & if recognised, unlocks the phone and turns on the screen. All in less than a second and very convenient to unlock the phone.
Placing the finger on the sensor takes a bit of practise, but soon becomes easy.
I like to have this enabled when I'm at home and disabled when I'm away from home, when I'm handling the phone but not necessarily using it.
Fortunately there is a system setting to control this feature.
I use a variable to control the setting.
The attached screenshot is the macro for changing the setting.
