I know I am somehow missing something simple, but I can't fathom how to activate a macro with the Bixby button. It is possible, right?
Why do you use that, when you have an automation app? Lol...
I use it to invoke MacroDroid macros. Lol.Why do you use that, when you have an automation app? Lol...
If that's the case then I'll recommend my current workaround: Automagic. I don't know if you have heard of it but it's another automation app that's free now (out of development), has a fabulous interface and is more capable than Macrodroid, except for the functions that are failing with the latest Android updates. I intend to ride it until the wheels fall off. You can get it at automagic4android.comI use it to invoke MacroDroid macros. Lol.
You don't seem to get it. I have multiple 'Bixby' triggers/macros set up, bxActions intercepts multiple types of Bixby button interaction and acts as an extension to MacroDroid's user input options....
Much cooler than a dedicated app.
What I'm looking for is a way to trigger a specific macro with the Bixby button from inside Macrodroid itself. I can use automagic to trigger them already, but I would like to keep the solution in one box.Are you still looking for a way to activate a MacroDroid macro with the Bixby button?
I'm not criticizing anything at all. I can see why you might have been mistaken, though. For one thing I bought MacroDroid 8 years ago, before it was even half as capable as it is now. But aside from that, when I mentioned ads I also said "dedicated app," meaning the app he is using to remap the Bixby button. You'd probably better keep on using Automagic because if you feel that the fee for MacroDroid (cheaper than 1 BigMac, at least in my country) without any ad, with Dev listening to every suggestion and improving this app very often, you are on the wrong way at the wrong place.
It's really unfair to criticize such an app inside it's own forum, among its members while you are using a simple free version...
