Android 13 will break the logcat trigger and clipboard trigger

This is a warning to any users who are thinking of upgrading to Android 13 in the near future the the Logcat trigger and clipboard trigger (which relies on reading the logcat logs) will no longer work.

This issue effects all apps and is very well summarised by the Tasker developer here: https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/wpt39b
It seems unlikely there will be any resolution to this in the short term I'm afraid.

how many absurd limitations they are placing in new updates, and consequently mistakenly limit the potential of important apps like our md.
instead of moving forward, technology takes us backwards,
but there is a way to sensitize those who are commenting on these errors of evaluation, we must highlight and contrast their way of thinking

Any plans to implement ADB over W-Fi and/or Shizuku to deal with this?

Unfortunately, I just spent quite some time testing MacroDroid's capabilities on my old, rooted Pixel 2 (limited to Android 11), with the intention of replacing a discontinued automation app I was previously using and going rootless on my brand new Pixel 7. Everything worked great using logcat triggers on the Pixel 2, so I purchased the MacroDroid premium upgrade and got cracking on setting up my Pixel 7 without root, only to then discover that my logcat triggers are now useless because of Android 13. 😭

Google has different priorities to us. Yeah, having an OS that properly supports both advanced and novice users' needs would be great, but I think they've realized that it's infeasible – some people will just always click yes on a popup.

Projects like CalyxOS, with their literal one-click ROM installer, means that in the near future, there will be alternative options to the default for even vaguely technically inclined users.
